CHAPTER 3 CHASSIS

3.1 FRONT A-ARM REPLACEMENT

1. Elevate and safely support the front of the vehicle and
remove the front wheel.
2. Remove cotter pin from ball joint stud at wheel end of A-
arm and loosen nut until it is flush with end of stud.
3. Remove the lower shock fastener from the upper
A-arm. Using a soft face hammer, tap on bearing carrier to
completely remove the ball joint end from the bearing
carrier.
4. Loosen and remove bolts on A-arm, and remove A-arm.
