8.7 Ping

You can use the Ping Test screen to check whether the ZyXEL Device can connect to other
Ethernet devices on your network and the Internet. When the ping feature is activated, the
ZyXEL Device sends a message to the Ethernet device you specify. If the Ethernet device
receives the message, it sends back messages in reply.
To use the ping feature, you must know the IP address or domain name of the Ethernet device
you are trying to communicate with. Click Tools > Ping to display the configuration screen.

Enter the system name.
Enter your user name. You can use up to 31 alphanumeric characters (and the

Enter the password again for confirmation.
Specify the time (in hours) the ZyXEL Device waits before time out.
DESCRIPTION
Enter the IP address or the domain name of the Ethernet device to which you
want to test the connection.
