Operational Safety

The machine is designed so as to provide maximum protection for the operator. Do not remove any passive or active security features.
You would expose yourself to the risk of injury. Before putting the machine into operation, read and observe the following instructions and
work safety regulations.
Communicate the safety instructions to all other persons who work with the machine.
Keep these safety instructions in a safe place.
Repairs to the safety shutdown may only be carried out by the manufacturer or persons authorized by them (authorized services).

Safety Regulations

The tedder may only be operated by one person. The machine operator must be over 18 years of age. He/she is obliged get
familiarized with the instructions for the use of the machine and to be familiar with the general principles of occupational safety
and fully understand how the machine works.
During your work, use work aids approved according to EN 166 or EN 1731 (close-fitting clothes, sturdy shoes, work gloves,
and safety glasses). Do not wear loose clothing with hanging cords or bands.
Be careful when working with the tedder. Be careful what you do. Approach work responsibly. Do not work with the tedder when
you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, medication or other addictive substances. One moment of inattention while
working with the tedder can result in serious injuries!
It is the responsibility of the machine operator to ensure that no other persons or live animals are in the vicinity of the tedder.
The operator may only continue working after they reach a safe distance.
Take extra care when handling the machine. When the engine is turned off, the exhaust silencer remains hot. When filling the
fuel make sure that no leak occurs and you do not spill the fuel over the engine parts. Otherwise, dry the affected parts or wait
until the petrol evaporates.
Always turn OFF the engine and wait for the work tool to stop before performing any work in the close vicinity of the machine!
Always switch OFF the engine before leaving the machine!
Always make sure that no part (especially the working mechanism or its cover) is damaged or loose before using the machine.
Identified defects must be immediately eliminated. Use only original spare parts during repairs.
When working, keep a safe distance from the machine given by the handlebars of the drive unit.
Take extra care when working, paying special attention to exposed rotating parts of the machine.
It is forbidden to use reverse during work.
Before starting work, check the tension of the rake belt, or tension it using the tensioning screws.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage to health or property caused by this tedder when used in a manner other
than specified in this manual.
If the machine makes unusual noises or vibrates, turn off the engine immediately and stop the machine. Disconnect the spark
plug cable. Check the machine for damage and loose screw connections. If any parts are damaged or cracked, the work must be
stopped immediately and the machine put into working condition.
It is forbidden to remove any protective devices and covers from the machines.
Take extra care when working on a slope. The maximum slope accessibility is 10°.
The machine is fitted with its rotating working tool. Make sure that other people stay at a safe distance when you are working
with your machine (possibility of crushed material ejected)!
When leaving the machine - when you lose sight of it - secure the machine against unauthorized start-up by an untrained person
(by disconnecting the spark plug cable, removing the spark plug from the engine, switching off the fuel supply to the engine,
etc.).
Any repairs, adjustments, lubrication, and cleaning of the machine must be carried out when the machine is at a standstill and its
spark plug connector is disconnected.
Drive units of older types that do not have a lever safety switch must not be aggregated with the tedder or must be retrofitted
with such lever safety switch.
Due to exceeding the recommended noise and vibration values, follow these instructions when working with the machine:
Protect your hearing using suitable protection aids according to EN 352-1 (earmuffs) or EN 352-2 (earplugs). Request
these aids from you seller.
After the maximum of 20 minutes of work with your machine, take a break for at least 10 minutes. During these breaks,
the respective operator must not be exposed to any other source of noise or vibrations. Work must not exceed a total
time of 70 minutes per shift and worker.
