8.2.2 Parking brake automatic

The warning light in the multifunction display
lights up when the parking brake is active.
1 If the engine has stopped or if the travel direction switch
is at NEUTRAL when the engine is running, then the
parking brake is activated automatically.
2 If the travel direction switch is pressed when the engine
is running (FORWARDS or REVERSE), then the park-
ing brake will be released.

8.2.3 Parking brake MDC variant

The warning light in the multifunction display
lights up when the parking brake is active.

8.2.4 MIC 50 brake pedal

The brake pedal activates the braking system for the front
wheels.

8.2.5 MIC 70 brake pedal

The brake pedal activates the front and rear wheel braking
system.

8.2.6 Inching pedal

The inching pedal regulates the speed in WORKING
MODE and CREEPING MODE.
To decrease the travel speed, press the inching pedal.
Note
The inching pedal can also be used as a brake pedal; to do
so, step on the inching pedal to the floor.
8.3

Drive mode

8.3.1 Starting the engine, MIC 50

The main switch must be switched on.
1. Sit in the driver's seat and put on your seat belt.
2. Insert the ignition key in the ignition lock.
3. Direction of travel selector switch on joystick on middle
position <Neutral/Stop> (not for MDC variant).
4. Set a low engine speed.
5. Release parking brake (only for MDC variant).
6. Switch on the ignition (position I).
Charge indicator and engine oil pressure warning lights
have to light up.

7. In the event of low outside temperatures and a cold en-
gine: Turn the ignition key to preheating (max. 20 sec-
onds).
8. Press the brake pedal during the starting procedure.
9. Start the engine (position II) - max. 10 seconds.
The charge indicator and engine oil pressure warning
lights have to go out; if not, switch off the engine and
remedy the fault.
10.In the event of ambient temperatures below 0°C: Before
commencing with work, allow the engine to warm up at
a low engine speed until the warning light for the drive
hydraulic oil filter goes out.
11.If the engine does not start, then repeat the starting pro-
cedure.

8.3.2 Starting the engine, MIC 70

The main switch must be switched on.
1. Sit in the driver's seat and put on your seat belt.
2. Insert the ignition key in the ignition lock.
3. Travel direction selector switch on the joystick to central
position <Neutral/Stop>.
4. Switch on the ignition (position I).
Charge indicator and engine oil pressure warning lights
have to light up.
5. In the event of low outside temperatures and a cold en-
gine: Delay starting until the text display <Wait to start,
preheating> goes out.
6. Start the engine (position II) - max. 10 seconds.
The charge indicator and engine oil pressure warning
lights have to go out; if not, switch off the engine and
remedy the fault.
7. In the event of ambient temperatures below 0°C: Before
commencing with work, allow the engine to warm up at
a low engine speed until the yellow warning light <Hy-
draulic temperature too low> goes out.
8. If the engine does not start, then repeat the starting pro-
cedure.

8.3.3 Tempomat

The Tempomat only works in WORKING MODE and
CREEPING MODE.

Activating Tempomat
1. Select the desired working speed using the accelerator.
2. If the vehicle moves at the required speed, press SET
on the Tempomat switch. Tempomat is activated.
a Increasing the speed afterwards: Press SET +
b Decreasing the speed afterwards: Press RES –
c The speed can be reduced in the short term using the
inching pedal. If the inching pedal is released, the ve-
hicle will move at the set engine speed again.
