Cleaning the power module heat exchanger

The heat exchanger can collect dust from the cooling air. If the heat exchanger is not
clean, this can cause overtemperature warnings and faults.
WARNING! Obey the safety instructions on page 5. If you ignore the
instructions, physical injury or death, or damage to the equipment can
occur.
WARNING! Use a vacuum cleaner with an antistatic hose and nozzle. Using a
normal vacuum cleaner creates static discharges which can damage circuit
boards.
WARNING! Be careful when you clean the heat exchanger to prevent damage to
it.
Obey the safety instructions starting on page
To clean the heat exchanger:
1. Before you start, stop the inverter and do the steps in
2. Open the protection grilles at the back of the inverter.
3. Blow dry clean compressed air (not humid) from the bottom to the top and use a
vacuum cleaner at the air outlet to trap the dust.
4. Open the service cover, open the module attachment bolts, extract the module support
beams and slide the module out. For more information, see the
on page 46.

5. Protect the module from dust and water.
6. Blow dry clean compressed air (not humid) from the bottom to the top and use a
vacuum cleaner at the air outlet to trap the dust.
7. Push the module back in, detract the module support beams, close the attachment
bolts and close the service cover. For more information, see the
