Recommended maintenance actions

FIMER recommends that you do these maintenance inspections annually to ensure the
highest reliability and optimum performance of the inverter.
Note: Perform the recommended maintenance actions listed below more often in
case the inverter is installed out of the specified operational and environmental
conditions. Refer to the Hardware manual. Pay special extra attention during the
first year after commissioning.

Tightness and cleanliness of AC and DC terminals
1) Tighten the main circuit terminals during commissioning. Refer to the recommended tightening torques in
the Hardware manual. If the installation conditions require it, check the tightness more often. Obey the local
regulations.
Note: The recommended maintenance intervals and component replacements
are based on specified operational and environmental conditions. FIMER
recommends annual inspections to ensure the highest reliability and optimum
performance.

Reduced run

The PVS980-58 has two identical power sections, as shown on the Simplified main circuit
diagram in the Hardware manual. The DC inputs and AC outputs of all of the power
sections are normally operated in parallel.
Using the disconnection devices of the inverter, you can isolate a DC/AC inverter section,
or the DC input cable section, and continue operation with the remaining sections.
Operation with a reduced number of DC/AC inverter sections is called reduced run.
The isolation of DC inputs and reduced run may require the operator to turn manual AC or
DC switches. The contactors and breakers are controlled automatically by the inverter's
software when reduced run operation is selected from parameters.
