If the measures listed below fail to remedy any faults or if the device has faults not
listed here, please contact Schaller GmbH.

Cause
The temperature of the ma-
terial being measured is too
low or high. I.e. the material's
temperature is lower than 0 °C
or higher than +40 °C.
Temperature discrepancy
between device and material
being measured
Wrong product type
Wrong filling quantity
Mouldy or rain wet material
Stored and fermented corn
from whole grain silage
Frozen material or material
mixed with snow
Contaminated material
Remedy
The temperature of the
material being measured
has to be between 0 °C and
+40 °C.
Let the temperature adjust
to the material being meas-
ured (permitted difference
of max. 3 °C).
Check whether you have
selected the right product
type (product) before taking
a reading (see "6. Product
types").
Exactly fill in the filling
quantity displayed in the
product type name
(+/- 0.5 gram).
The accuracy decreases
significantly.
May lead to a too high dis-
played measuring value.
The accuracy decreases
significantly.
Highly contaminated mate-
rial such as long ears of
barley or foreign material
can strongly influence the
measuring result.
