Locking with the locking
cylinder is not possible.
Function and operation

Release

The locked motorised multi-point lock 519 is unlocked in the following situations:
· The lock receives an electrical signal ("unlocking" control input), such as by means of a release button, a
timer, or an electronic access control system,
· the panic bar or door handle is operated from inside,
· the profile cylinder (locking cylinder) is actuated from outside with an appropriate key.

Functional principle of electrical unlocking

The lock unlocks for 5 seconds, or, if a UII control module is being used, for a variable release time, wherein
the deadbolt and latch bolt are retracted. The door can be opened.
If the door is closed again or the door is not opened within 5 seconds, the lock will lock again
("Self-locking", page 54).
A status message will be issued ("Status query via the UII control module", page 67) if the motorised
multi-point lock 519 is connected to the UII control module. The release time can be adjusted at the UII
control module.

Profile cylinder (locking cylinder)

The lock is unlocked by the locking cylinder. The locking with the locking cylinder is not necessary, nor is it
possible. The locking cylinder has an internal stop collar which prevents it from turning completely.
In normal operation, the key must be pulled out (for requirements on suitable profile cylinders, refer to
"Locking cylinders", page 70).
A status message will be issued ("Status query via the UII control module", page 67) if the motorised
multi-point lock 519 is connected to the UII control module.

Access control

Since the motorised multi-point locking 519 is locked by means of a motor, it can be integrated into an
electronic access control system. . The lock can be unlocked by means of an electric motor, whereby the
door can also be opened outwards. The electrical contact can take place from the inside or outside by
such means as a release button, magnetic card reader, fingerprint reader, or door code system, to name a
few examples.

Control and status messages

There are two options for connecting the motorised multi-point lock 519:
· without additional control unit (Pic. 7, page 61) or
· with the UII control module ("Control via the UII control module", page 63 and Pic. 8).
A control input is available for unlocking without an additional control unit. Status messages are not sent.
