EON reservation
By using the EON function which administers the information of other
stations, you can reserve the desired information such as traffic an-
nouncement, new s and so on, even though these types of programs
are not currently broadcast. While listening to a station w hich makes
the EON indicator light, the tuner automatically selects the station
w hich starts broadcasting the program of the desired information.
When the program of the desired information ends, the tuner auto-
matically returns to the previous program.
Preparation
Reserving the desired information (EON reservation)

Proceed the steps in "Storing broadcast
stations in memory ".

Tune in an RDS station (EON).
Proceed the steps in "Receiving a preset station"

Select the desired information.
÷ During TA or N EW S reception, " N OW TA ", or " N OW N EW S " w ill be
displayed.
÷ If TA or N EW S can not be selected, proceed the RDS automatic
memory function again.

Wait for the program of the desired informa-
tion.
As long as the pow er is turned on w ith the program w hich
makes the EON and RDS indicators light tuned in, the tuner
w aits for the program of the desired information to start.
TP (Traffic Program) indication
When the "TP" indicator is lit, this means that the presently received station or a station in the same netw ork is transmitting traffic
information. When "TP" is displayed for the station being received, the traffic information of this station can be received w ithout EON
reservation.

÷ Set the RDS to AUTO M EM ORY mode.
÷ Set the broadcast band to FM .

If the RDS automatic memory function is already set, skip
this procedure.

÷ If all the 40 stations are M ANUAL PRESET according to the procedure
in "Storing broadcast stations in memory", the EON function w ill not
w ork. Be sure to use the RDS automatic memory function.

÷ If you w ish to cancel TA/ N EW S w hile listening to a EON reservation
broadcast, press the TA/ N EW S key.
÷ If you press the BAND key w hile receiving the broadcast of your choice,
EON reservation w ill be cancelled.
÷ Even if you sw itch over the input selector of the amplifier connected
w ith the system control cord w hile receiving the broadcast of your
choice, EON reservation w ill not be cancelled.
÷ When a EON reservation broadcast is received, the ACTIVE RECEP-
TION w ill not w ork. RF ATT functions w ill be turned OFF .
