8/ WARRANTY

AQUALUX chlorinators are guaranteed against all material and/or manufacturing defects for 1 year (for the
device) and 1 year (for the cell), starting from the delivery date.
The guarantee does not apply in case of visible defects. Not does it cover defects or damage caused by normal
wear and tear, defects resulting from faulty assembling and/or misuse, or any modifications brought to the
product without Aqualux's prior written approval.
This guarantee is granted subject to strict compliance with the instructions for installation and/or use. The
guarantee will not apply in the event of non-compliance with these conditions and in the following cases in
particular:
Electrical wiring and connection work was not carried out by a professional electrician.
One of the safety or control devices has been removed, modified or by-passed.
The serial number has been removed, destroyed or erased (checking number).
The chemical composition of the water is not suitable and does not comply with the recommendations or the
pool is subject to abnormal use.
Damages were caused by an improper installation or change, mistreatment, negligence, accident,
unauthorized repairs, fire, flooding, lightning, disruption of the main electric power supply, armed conflict or
any other case of force majeure.
The salt used does not comply with the NF T 90-612 or EN 973 – A regulation.
Salt chlorinator is not used for private pool application.
The purchase invoice of the product and the invoice established by a professional electrician must be
forwarded with any claims under guarantee.
No repairs or replacements carried out under guarantee can result in any prolongation of the said period of
guarantee.
Under the terms of this guarantee, the sole obligation placed on Aqualux is replacement or repair free of
charge of the product or element found to be defective by the competent Aqualux department. All other costs
must be born by the purchaser.
To benefit from this guarantee, all the products concerned must be forwarded beforehand to the Aqualux
after-sales department, whose approval is essential for all replacements.
Legal guarantee: provided that the purchaser is able to provide proof of a hidden defect, the seller is required
by law to make good all the consequences thereof (article 1641 and following of the French civil code).
If the purchaser brings a claim before the courts, he must do so in a short time from the date at which the
defect comes to light (article 1648 of the French civil code).
