17 Troubleshooting

If the device does not operate as intended, check the following tables for information.
17.1

General problems

Symptom
The device cannot be switched on.
No sound can be heard.
The display does not switch on.
Interference can be heard.
Other operational faults,
loud noises or a malfunctioning
display are occurring.
17.2

Problems with the remote control

Symptom
The remote control does not work.
Possible cause/remedy
The device is not being supplied with power. Attach the mains adapter
correctly to the mains socket. Select another socket if necessary.
Increase the volume. The incorrect source may have been selected.
The mute function may be active.
Switch the device off, unplug from the mains briefly, switch the device
back on.
A mobile phone or another device is emitting interfering radio waves in
the vicinity of the device. Remove the mobile phone or device from the
vicinity of the radio.
Electronic components in the device are faulty.
Remove the mains plug. Leave the device disconnected from the power
source for approx. 10 seconds. Reconnect the device.
Possible cause/remedy
Batteries are incorrectly inserted or are low.
Check the polarity.
Change the batteries.
IR connection interrupted.
Remove objects that are located between the remote control and the
device.
Distance too great. The max. distance to the device is approx. 4 metres.
