11.0 Warranty terms

1. Our warranty covers:
Jøtul AS guarantees that the external cast iron parts are free
of defects in materials or production defects at the time of
purchase. The guarantee is valid for 5 years from the delivery
date. You can extend the warranty on external cast iron parts
to 25 years from the date of delivery by registering the product
on jotul.com, and printing the extended warranty card, no later
than three months after purchase. We recommend that the
warranty card be kept with the receipt. Jøtul AS also
guarantees that steel parts are free of defects in materials or
production defects at the time of purchase for a period of 5
years from the delivery date.
The guarantee applies provided that the stove has been
installed by a qualifi ed installer in accordance with applicable
laws and regulations and that Jøtul's installation and
operating instructions have been followed. Repaired products
or replacement items are warranted within the original
warranty period.
2. The warranty does not cover:
2.1. Damage to consumables such as burner plates, fi rebox,
smoke vaults, gaskets and the like like these deteriorate over
time due to normal wear and tear.
2.2. Damage due to inadequate maintenance, overheating,
use of unsuitable fuel (eg on unsuitable fuel is, but is not
limited to rekved, impregnated wood, table cover, chipboard)
or for damp / wet wood.
2.3. Installation of additional parts for the purpose of
repairlocal draft conditions, air supply or other conditions,
which are beyond Jøtul control.
2.4. Changes / modifi cations to the fi replace without
permission from Jøtul or use of non-original parts.
2.5. Damage occurred during storage at a dealer, transport
from the dealer or during installation.
2.6. Products sold by unauthorized sellers in areas where
Jøtul operates with a selective distribution system. 2.7.
Associated costs (excl. But not limited to, transport, labor,
travel) or indirect injuries.
For pellet stoves, glass, stone, concrete, enamel and lacquer
(eg, but not limited to chipping, cracks, bubbles or
discoloration and cracking) the right of complaint applies. This
guarantee is valid for purchases made in the European
Economic Area (EEA). All warranty inquiries must be
addressed to the authorized Jøtul dealer within a reasonable
time, and no later than 14 days from the time the defect or
defect was fi rst discovered. See the list of importers and

If Jøtul is not able to fulfi ll the obligations outlined in the above
warranty terms, Jøtul will off er a replacement product with a
similar heating capacity free of charge.
Jøtul reserves the right to refuse replacement of parts or
services if the warranty is not registered online. The
guarantee does not aff ect any rights in relation to the
applicable right of complaint. The right of complaint applies
from the date of purchase, and only in exchange for a receipt /
serial number.
