7.7.2 Engine Oil Filter Cartridge
Maintenance
Oil filter
1. Prepare a suitable container to catch the drained
oil.
2. Drain the engine oil. (See page 34)
3. Open the engine cover, and lock it with the stay-
bar.
(See page 15)
4. Using the oil filter wrench, turn the oil filter cartridge
to the left and remove it.
5. Clean the filter housing base on the engine side.
6. Coat the seal portion of the new oil filter cartridge
thinly with clean engine oil.
7. Install the new oil filter and tighten it fully.
Do not use a filter wrench; tighten by hand only.
8. Add engine oil.

9. After starting the engine, check that there is no
leakage of oil from the base of the filter.
