6.5 Operating Dump

Do not per form dumping operation on a sharp slope. The body becomes
unstable, and it may cause a serious accident. If the dumping operation must
be performed unavoidably on the slope, operate the vehicle carefully.
Do not perform the tilting operation of the bed on a slope. The body becomes
unstable, and it may cause a serious accident.
Operation
Load deck
support bar
Raising Dump Body
Falling load deck can cause injur y or
death.
Always fix load deck support bar before
doing any work under the load deck.
Do not raise or lower load deck or dump
load when anybody is st anding near
load deck.
Do not discharge load to the slope valley
side by tilting the bed sideways. The vehi-
cle may be turned over, resulting in a seri-
ous accident.
1. Start the engine, move the throttle lever to the
[
(HI)] position, and increase the engine speed.
2. Remove the lock plate from the dump lever.
