4. On the Data Groups tab, configure one or more data groups.
5. Click the "Validate" button and confirm the validation message in the lower right

the Field Agent name, change the "Published Name Predix Type" setting
from "None" to "User Defined" and set the "Published Name Prefix" to the
desired string.
d. On the Data Subscriptions tab, click the "Add Data Subscription" button
and set the parameters as desired.
i.
The Data Subscription Name cannot contain spaces.
ii.
Set the Update Interval to the number of seconds between polling for
data changes. If an update interval in milliseconds is desired, the
resulting XML file needs to be manually modified to include the
intervalIsMillis="true" attribute inside the dataSubscriptionConfig
element as described in Section 4.4.1, Modifying the Configuration
Files Manually.
iii.
Set the Start Point Offset to the number of minutes or hours (defined
by the Units selection) for the Machine Adapter to wait after starting
before data polling begins. A value of "-1" means the Machine
Adapter will start polling immediately upon starting.
iv.
Set the Units to either MINUTES or HOURS depending on the unit
desired for the Start Point Offset value.
e. On the Data Nodes tab, click the "Add Data Node" button and set the
parameters as desired.
i.
The Published Name cannot contain spaces and must be set to the tag
name desired to be set to the Time Series Database, prepended by the
optional Published Name Predix configured above.

Configure the Register Type, Address Offset, Data Type, Description,
Count, and Bit Index fields according to the data

Click the "Save Subscription" button to save.

Field Agent Configuration Tool project (.fac) and Configuration Bundle (.zip) will be
saved. Press the "Save" button to generate the configuration.
