    Glossary Automation system Programmable logic controller for the closed-loop and open-loop control of process chains in the process engineering industry and manufacturing technology. The automation system consists of different components and integrated system functions according to the automation task. A common transfer route to which all devices are connected; it has two defined ends. Bus cable connector Physical connection between the bus device and the bus cable.
