PORT CONNECTIONS

This section provides information on the use of the ArgentBranch ports. It covers:

DTE Port.

DC Power Input Connector.

Connection to Primary Rate ISDN (PRI).

Audio Input Connector.
Connection to an X.21, V.35 or V.24/V.28 Leased Line.
Argent Expansion Ports.
Connection to a LAN.
External Control Connector.

The DTE port is presented as a standard 25 way D-Type socket on the rear of the unit.
This port is used by manufacturing and is labelled:

The ArgentBranch uses a Lump-in-Line PSU module to provide DC power.
The PSU module is plugged into a suitable mains power outlet and provides a 16Volt/2A
unregulated DC output. This unregulated DC is fed into the unit via the DC Input port
which is a BLUE 2.5mm socket and is labelled:

RIMARY
The ArgentBranch 3000 connects to Primary Rate ISDN. The ArgentBranch 3000
comes supplied with a suitable cable for connection to the ISDN Network. The Primary
Rate ISDN port is labelled as follows:
Additional or replacement ISDN Cables can be obtained by ordering Sales Feature
ARG-ISDNC (part number CABBRINN03M0PP00).
