9.2. Normal operation
The automatic gun has an internal
control. The control air triggers a
control pulse opening the spray air
valve in the automatic gun. This
allows the spray air on the automat-
ic gun to remain continuously under
pressure.
Before using observe/check the
following points to ensure safe op-
eration of the automatic gun.
■ Is automatic gun mounted securely?
■ Are minimum compressed air flow
rate and pressure ensured?
■ Is the compressed air clean?
Adjustment of the Spray Gun Inlet Pres-
sure
Information!
If the required gun input pressure
is not present, increase the pres-
sure in the compressed air circuit.
■ Set spray air to required input
pressure.

Adjust material flow rate
Metering with the material quan-
tity control can lead to nozzle
wear.
→ During normal operation the
material quantity control should
be completely open. → Adjust
material flow rate using material
supply pressure.
→ Adjust material flow rate with
material quantity control only for
very low quantities of material.
The grub screw
arresting the material quantity
control and is permanently glued
in place.
■ Adjust material flow rate using
material supply pressure.
■ For low quantities of material fine
adjustment of the material flow rate
is possible by turning the material
quantity control [1-2].
Adjustment of the Spray Fan Pattern
■ The flat fan can be adjusted by turn-
ing the flat fan control (B) [1-5].
■ The round fan can be adjusted by
turning the round fan control (R)
[1-12].
