CLUTCHIBRAKE FOOT PEDAL REMOVAL:
A
WARNING: To avoid accidental starting, re-
move spark plug wires and secure away from
spark plugs.
A. Before this procedure is performed, the at-
tachment should be removed from this trac-
tor as outlined in "ATTACHMENT" section of
this service manual.
B. Remove foot shaft grip from shaft
C. Remove cotter pins securing clutch rod and
brake rod to pedal assembly. (Fig. 2 4 ) Detach
both rodsfrom pedal shaft. Note location and
orientation of rod ends attaching to pedal
assembly. (Fig. 2 4 )
D. Screw knob off parking brake link. (Fig. 2 4 )
Remove push nut and washers. Push brake
link in through slot in main frame.
E. Remove cotter p i n through c l u t c h l b r a k e
pedal shaft located next to the left inside of
frame.

Remove two thread forming screws securing
retainer plate to left inside o f frame. (Fig. 2 4 )
Remove retainer plate.
G. Pull clutchlbrake pedal assembly t o the left
and down. Remove cotter pin securing park-
i n g brake link to pedal assembly. (Fig. 2 4 )
Disconnect brakelink and washer from pedal
assembly. Remove flat washer from right end
of pedal shaft.
H. Work clutchlbrake pedal assembly to the
right and out bottom of tractor.

Service clutchlbrake pedal assembly as re-
quired. Reverse above procedures to install.
Recheck position of all rods and lubricate all
pivot points with SAE 30 wt. oil. Depress
clutchlbrake pedal and check tosee that rods
are not binding. Check operation of parking
brake.
