9.11. VALVE DATA ROUTINES

The valve data allow identifying the valve and its function in the process. The valve manufacturer and the end user
can enter the data. The following data can be entered:
Ø
tag name (max. 28 char.)
Ø
serial number (max. 28 char.)

9.11.1. Tag name

Set-up procedure:
• Move the local selector to OFF and then press simultaneously OPEN and STOP. Select the language and then
enter the password according to the instructions "entering the set-up mode". When the message of display is
"SET-UP MODE OK?" press YES. Press NO to scroll the list of available menus and then press to select valve
data menu.
• . Press NO to scroll the list of available routines and then press YES to select Tag name.
• Press YES if the 1st character of the string is correct. Press NO to scroll the list of available characters. Press YES
to select the desired character.
• Enter up to 28 characters. Enter " " as blank character, and "ç" as end of string.

9.11.2. Serial number

Set-up procedure:
• Move the local selector to OFF and then press simultaneously OPEN and STOP. Select the language and then
enter the password according to the instructions "entering the set-up mode". When the message of display is
"SET-UP MODE OK?" press YES. Press NO to scroll the list of available menus and then press to select valve
data menu.
• . Press NO to scroll the list of available routines and then press YES to select Serial number.
• Press YES if the 1st character of the string is correct. Press NO to scroll the list of available characters. Press YES
to select the desired character.
• Enter up to 28 characters. Enter " " as blank character, and "ç" as end of string.

9.12. MAINTENANCE ROUTINES

A large amount of data is stored in the actuator memory and it is available for future analysis or to assist the operator
in the maintenance program. The maintenance menu includes also the set password routine.
The following data are managed:

set maintenance date
9.12.1. Set password
The actuator is supplied by BIFFI with the default password
of 4 alphanumeric characters by the above routine. After having entered the new password, the old one ceases to be
valid. Therefore it is mandatory "
To forget the secret password makes impossible to enter the set-up menu and to configure the actuator.
Set-up procedure:
• Move the local selector to OFF and then press simultaneously OPEN and STOP. Select the language and then
enter the password according to the instructions "entering the set-up mode". When the message of display is
"SET-UP MODE OK?" press YES. Press NO to scroll the list of available menus and then press YES to select
maintenance menu.
• Press NO to scroll the list of available routines and then press YES to select set password.
• Enter the new password one digit at a time. Press YES if the digit is correct, press NO to scroll the list of available
characters and then press YES to select. Enter 4 digits. When the display shows the message "new password", the
new password is entered, and the old one is no longer valid.
9.12.2. Clear alarm log
The clear alarm log routine allows clearing the alarm log.
Set-up procedure:
• Move the local selector to OFF and then press simultaneously OPEN and STOP. Select the language and then
enter the password according to the instructions "entering the set-up mode". When the message of display is
