21.5)
DISASSEMBLY OF GAS VALVE/IGNITION CONTROL MODULE
1. Open the access panel assembly as shown in Section 21.2) Note: This is removed from the illustration for
clarity.
2. Remove the gas valve/ignition control module assembly as shown in 21.4).
3. Remove 12 way Molex connector (not shown) from ignition module.
4. Remove the screw 2 holding the ignition control module onto the gas valve. Slide the ignition control
module away from the gas valve and replace if necessary.
5. Remove the screws 5 and slide the valve holder bracket assembly away from the gas valve.
6. Disassemble the remaining gas valve components as shown.
After replacing the gas valve, check the gas pressures in accordance with the Section 15.0) of this manual.
IMPORTANT: TEST FOR GAS SOUNDNESS USING A SUITABLE LEAK DETECTION FLUID.
21.6)
REMOVAL OF MAIN BURNER/EMITTER ASSEMBLY
A. Remove the ceramic glass and open the access panel assembly as shown in Section 21.1)
B. Remove the gas valve as shown in Section 21.4)
1. Remove the burner access panel 2 from the opposite side of the heater.
2. Remove the (2) locknuts 3 holding the main burner.
