Front-panel adjustment; can be adjusted as part of
the middle marker remains at the center vertical line. See

Gain (R785)
a. Set the time-mark generator for .1 ms markers.
b. Set the MAGNIFIER t o X10.
c. CHECK-CRT display for one . I ms marker for each
division between the second and tenth vertical lines.
d. A D J U S T 4 7 8 5 (left side toward rear), Magnifier
Gain, for one marker for each division. The second and
tenth markers must coincide exactly with their respective
graticule lines (use the horizontal POSITION control a s
necessary to line up the display).
e. CHECK-Timing accuracy is within 5% over any two
division interval within the center eight divisions.
f. INTERACTION: Check steps 19 and 25.
19. CheckIAdjust Magnifier
Registration (R795)
a. Set the time-mark generator for
5
ms markers. Set the
7A16 VoltsIDiv to 1 V.
d. ADJUST-Mag Regis, R795 (left side, lower rear), to
position the middle marker t o the center vertical line.
e. Set the 7B70 MODE to NORM and alternately switch
the MAGNIFIER between X I and X I 0 and repeat steps b
through e until no shift occurs when switching.
20. Check Sweep Length
a. Set the Time-Mark Generator for 1 ms and .1 ms
markers. Reset the MAGNIFIER to X I and the 7A16A
VoltsIDiv to 2 V (adjust LEVEL/SLOPE as necessary for
stable triggering).
b. Position the middle marker to the center vertical line
(there are three markers O n the total magnified sweep) with
