2-pin DIP switch
The EK3100 Bus Coupler has a 2-pin DIP switch under the front flap.

IP address (via USB interface)
The IP address can be used to access the EK3100 Bus Coupler via a host PC. To access the EK3100 Bus
Coupler, the corresponding USB driver first has to be installed on the host PC (see: Installing the USB driver
[} 36]).
An ordinary web browser can then be used on the host PC, and the Beckhoff device manager can be started
(see: Beckhoff Device Manager [} 36]).
The EK3100 has the following fixed network settings:
• IP address: 172.21.42.1
• Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Check whether the IP address of the EK3100 Bus Coupler has been assigned to other devices in the local
network or is used by your host PC. If this is the case, you have to change the IP addresses of the devices
or deactivate them.
