Troubleshooting

This section contains a list of common problems, and how to correct them. If problems persist after repeated
attempts to correct them, contact the Apollo Customer Support Center Hardware Desk.
Problem:
Printer jam. Printer:
• Stops printing
• Lights Error light
• Sounds several beeps
• LCD flashes an error message.
Printer continues to jam.
Slow ticket printing.
Error MS READ ERROR:
VERTICAL PARITY appears on LCD.
Printer stops. Error
COMP-85-00 INTRNL STCKR FUL appears on
LCD. Internal stacker is full.
Corrective Action:
1. Open side door if Lockable Stacker is on,
if must be removed before door can be opened.
(See page 11 for instructions.)
2. Look for jammed document(s) in paper paths
and under print head.
3. Remove the jammed document.
4. Close the side door.
5. Press ENT to resume printing.
6. Open the secure ticket bin and ensure the
leading coupon is still inserted in prefeed slot.
Curled or warped documents may be the cause.
To correct:
• load only 500 documents in bin.
• If problem continues, replace documents.
1. Power off printer.
2. Open side door.
3. Check MAG stripe on ARC coupons for dirt
and scratches. If stripes appear damaged on
majority of coupons, replace the stock.
4. Close side door.
5. Power on printer.
6. Printing will resume.
7. If problem persists, magnetic heads may
require cleaning to correct problem.
Use S*TLQ/SERVICE-3000 to schedule a
service call.
1. If Lockable Cover is in place, remove it.
(See the "Installing the Lockable Cover"
section on page 11 for instructions.)
2. Remove all documents from the stacker.
3. Printing will resume.
