22. Refer to Connect Power to an Electric Ram
System to connect power to the ram junction box.
Connect Power to an Electric
Ram System
All electrical wiring must be done by a qualified elec-
trician and comply with all local codes and regula-
tions.
To avoid equipment damage, route and secure a
power cord that is long enough to allow the full range
of movement for the ram.
Refer to the following steps to connect power to the
junction box on the ram system.
1. Cut power cord wires to the following lengths:
Ground wire - 6.5 inches (16.5 cm)
Power wires - 3.0 inches (7.6 cm)
Add ferrules as necessary. See Figure 42.

2. Remove the six screws holding the cover of the ram
junction box then remove the junction box cover.

3. Insert the power cord through the cord grip and into
the ram junction box.

4. Attach the ground wire to the ground terminal inside
the ram junction box.
5. Tighten the cord grip to securely hold the power
cord to the ram junction box.
6. Refer to Figure 45 and connect the wires from the
power cord into terminals 2T1 and 6T3 on the dis-
connect switch terminal block.

7. Replace the ram junction box cover and secure it
with the six screws that were removed in step 2.
