Starting to sew
The machine will be set at 01 automatically to sew
straight stitches when power switch is turned on.
CAUTION: To prevent accidents.
While sewing, special care is
required around the needle.
Only guide the fabric to sew straight.
1. Check the (All Purpose) presser foot.
Refer to page xx for changing the presser foot.
2. Place the fabric under the presser foot.
3. Lower the presser foot.
4. Hold both threads to the back when starting to
sew. Let threads go after sewing a few stitches.
5. While sewing regulate the speed with
slide speed control lever or foot control.
6. Stop machine when you reach end of seam.
7. Raise the presser foot lifter.
8. When you have reached the end of a seam,
stop sewing and turn the handwheel toward
you to bring the needle to highest position.
Raise the presser foot and pull the fabric out
from under the foot to the back of the
machine. Cut the threads in the thread
cutter on the left side of the machine.
Reverse stitching
Reverse stitching is used for reinforcing the ends
of the seams.
1. Place the fabric in position where back stitch-
ing is to be made and lower the presser foot.
2. Press reverse stitch button and sew
4-5 stitches. (Using foot control, press pedal
with pressing reverse stitch button.)
3. Press start button and resume sewing.
(Using foot control, release reverse stitch
button and press foot control to sew forwards.)
4. When you reach the end of seam, press reverse
stitch button and sew 4-5 reverse stitches.
Turning corners
1. Stop the machine when you reach a corner.
2. Lower needle into the fabric. To lower the
needle, you can either use the needle up/down
button or turn the handwheel towards you.
3. Raise the presser foot.
4. Use the needle as a pivot and turn fabric.
5. Lower the presser foot and resume sewing.
Sewing heavy fabric
When sewing heavy fabrics, the toe end of presser
foot tends to lift up and sewing will hesitate at the
point that the fabric is thicker. In this case, place
a piece of cardboard or fabric of same thickness
under the heel end of the presser foot. The presser
foot lever can be raised 1 step higher for placing
heavy materials under the presser foot easily.
Carefully guide the fabric with your hand when
sewing over thick fabric areas.

Faire une couture
Vérifiez, que les deux fils dépassent de plus de
10 cm à l'arrière du pied presseur. Piquez l'aiguille
dans le tissu à environ 1 cm du début de la couture.
Appuyez sur le levier de marche arrière. Piquez
lentement en point arrière jusqu' à ce que l'aiguille
arrive au début de la couture. Exécutez la couture.
Lors-qu'elle est finie, abaissez le levier de marche
arrière et piquez sur 1 cm en point arrière. Veillez
à bien tenir les deux fils lors des premiers points.
Levier de point arrière
Il est recommandé de commencer ou de terminer
les coutures avec plusieurs points arrière afin
d'en améliorer la solidité. Lorsqu'on maintient
ce levier abaissé en cours de couture, la machine
continuera à entraîner le tissu vers l'arrière.
Realisation d'un angle droit
Pour faire un angle droit à 16 mm du bord du tissu,
arrêtez la couture en laissant l'aiguille dans le
tissu, quand vous arrivez au repère (voir croquis).
Relevez le pied presseur et tournez le tissu. La
nouvelle ligne de piqûre s'alignera avec le guide
couture de 16 mm. Baissez le pied presseur et
continuez la couture dans la nouvelle direction.
Couture de tissus épais
Si le tissu passe difficilement sous le pied-de-biche,
relevez au maximum le levier pour que le pied-
de-bich se trouve dans sa position la plus haute

Nähbeginn
1. Heben Sie den Nähfußhebel an.
2. Legen Sie den Stoff unter den Nähfuß, führen
Sie den Faden unter den Nähfuß und ziehen
Sie ca. 5 cm Faden zür Rückseite der Maschine.
3. Senken Sie den Nähfußhebel ab.
4. Halten Sie Fadenende und Stoff mit
der linken Hand.
5. Schieben Sie den Nähgeschwindigkeitsregler
nach links oder rechts,
um die Nähgeschwindigkeit einzustellen.
6. Nehmen Sie den Fuß vom Fußpedal oder
betätigen Sie einmal die Taste Start/Stopp.
Die Maschine hört mit dem Nähen auf.
7. Heben Sie den Nähfußhebel an.
8. Heben Sie die Nadel durch Drehen des
Handrades in Ihre Richtung (gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn) oder Sie können die Nadel
durch ein- oder zweimaliges Betätigen von
Die Taste Nadelposition anheben. Ziehen Sie
den Stoff zur linken Seite der Maschine und
führen Sie dann die Fäden durch den
Fadenabschneider, um sie abzuschneiden.
Taste Rückwärts
Drücken Sie die Taste Rückwärts um
Rückwärtsstiche zu nähen. Rückwärtsstiche werden
genäht, wenn Sie die Taste gedrückt halten, um
in die entgegengesetzte Richtung zu nähen.
Ändern der Nährichtung
Wenn Sie mit der Naht an einder Ecke
ankommen, halten Sie die Nähmaschine an.
Lassen Sie die Nadel unten (im Stoff). Wenn
die Nadel angehoben ist, senden Sie die Nadel
entweder durch Drehen des Handrades in Ihre
Richtung (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) oder durch
einmaliges Drücken von die Taste Nadelposition.
Stellen Sie den Nähfußhebel nach oben und
drehen Sie den Stoff um die Nadel herum. Senken
Sie den Nähfußhebel und nähen Sie weiter.
Nähen dicker Stoffe
Wenn sich der Stoff nicht problemlos
unter den Nähfuß schieben lässt, heben Sie den
Nähfußhebel noch höher, um den
Nähfuß in die höchste Position zu stellen.
Legen Sie einen gefalteten Stoffrest oder Pappe von
hinten unter den Nähfuß. Dadurch wird der Nähfuß
angehoben und der Stofftransport erleichtert.
