Troubleshooting

Cause
The battery is not charged.
The main switch is OFF position.
The emergency stop button is engaged.
The propane tank is empty.
The propane tank valve is closed.
The ignition is defective.
The fuse is damaged.
The battery is not charged.
The propane tank is almost empty.
If the symbol check engine and carbon mon-
oxide values come on and the carbon mon-
oxide detector gives sounds, the carbon
monoxide values are higher than permitted
levels.
The belt is broken.
The clutch disengages.

Replace the spark plug if it is necessary.
To charge the battery
Use a 12 V battery charger made for lead-acid batteries.
1. Connect the positive (+) clamp on the charger to the
positive (+) terminal on the battery.
2. Connect the negative (-) clamp on the charger to the
negative (-) terminal on the battery.
3. Connect the charger to a power source.
Solution
Charge the battery.
Turn the main switch to ON position.
Turn the emergency stop button on the con-
trol panel control clockwise to disengage.
Fill or replace the propane tank.
Turn the propane tank valve to open the pro-
pane tank.
Speak to an approved service agent.
Examine the fuse on the engine. If the fuse is
damaged, replace the fuse.
Charge the battery.
Fill or replace the propane tank.
Make sure that the work area has good air-
flow.
If the belt is broken, let a service center re-
place it.
Turn one of the grinding discs by hand. If all
grinding discs rotate together, the belt is not
damaged. If one grinding disc rotates freely,
then the belt is broken.
Speak to an approved service agent.
Make sure that the work area has good air-
flow.
Make sure that the engine speed is not be-
tween 1200 and 2600 rpm.
