15. Remove the snap rings and the piston pin. Remove
the piston. Remove the crankshaft bearing seal (A)
and the needle bearing (B) from the piston rod.

16. Remove the piston ring, if it is necessary.

7.13.3 To clean and examine the cylinder and
piston
CAUTION: Clean carefully. The soft aluminum
part are easily damaged.
•
Remove the carbon deposits from these parts:
A
a) The top of the piston.
b) The combustion chamber of the cylinder.
c) The exhaust port of the cylinder.
•
Use a screwdriver to remove dirt particles from the
cooling fins.
•
Clean all parts.
•
Examine all the parts for damage and wear.
