Referencing column components
Many of the procedures in this Operating Instructions make reference to specific com-
ponents on the AxiChrom column. To facilitate easy identification of a specified compo-
nent, numbers or letters are given within square brackets, [ ]. These correspond to a
commonly assigned item in the parts list and diagrams for each of the column sizes in
the Appendices.
In some cases bold style characters, either a number or letter may be contained in { }
brackets. These correspond to parts on the 100 column only that deviate from the
commonly assigned items identified in square brackets (see above).

Important user information

Read this before using the
AxiChrom system
All users must read the entire Operating Instructions before installing, using, or
maintaining the system. Always keep the Operating Instructions at hand when using
AxiChrom 50, 70 and 100 columns.
Do not operate AxiChrom 50, 70 and 100 columns in any other way than described in
the user documentation. If you do, you may be exposed to hazards that can lead to
personal injury, and you may cause damage to the equipment.
