Intended use

Intended use
Gas warning system for continuous fixed monitoring of gas concentrations in
the ambient air.
The VarioGard system comprises the following components:
VarioGard central unit
– for power supply and control of the complete system
– two-line illuminated alphanumeric display of measured values, status
messages, alarms, etc.
– three-colour status LED
– acoustic alarm
– system operating keypad
– remote acknowledgment terminal
– five potential-free contact outputs with freely configurable response to
control connected components such as warning panels, sirens, etc.
– PC interface for start-up and maintenance.
VarioGard transmitter
– for monitoring of the ambient air, depending on the sensor installed
– three-colour status LED
– acoustic alarm
– operating keypad.
VarioGard battery module
– for emergency power supply of the gas measuring devices during inter-
ruption of supply voltage
– with 12 V lead storage batteries and electronic charger.
VarioGard Relay Module
– as accessory unit for the VarioGard Gas Warning System,
– with five potential-free outputs that can be freely addressed by the central
unit.
– with four digital inputs for connecting pushbuttons, switches etc. to the
VarioGard system
– for controlling connected components such as warning transparencies,
signal sirens, fans etc.
– for installation in control cabinets:
with an installation kit for wall mounting.
– for operation as a gas alarm with a VarioGard gas sensor and additional
power supply.
