AFETY IN
The safety pin, located at the neck of the
extinguisher bottle (Figure 7.20.1) in the engine
room is for shipping and transfer of the bottle only.
The pin MUST be removed in order to manually
operate the system.
This pin should be removed upon installation of the
system. Ensure that this has been done. The
manual system will not function unless the
safety pin has been removed from the fire
extinguisher bottle.

• At the helm
• In the galley
• In the master stateroom
• In the engine room
These extinguishers should be checked frequently
and recharged as necessary.
