    1.1 Back Panel: The back panel of the 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router contains ADSL, VoIP (2FXS and 1FXO) Interface, Ethernet Switches, 2.4GHz Antenna, Reset Button, Power ON/OFF and Power Adaptor connection. Detachable 2.4GHz SMA Antenna. Four 10/100Mbps Ethernet Ports for connecting to the host computer or other Ports 1~4 network devices.
  • Page 4 1.2 Front Panel: The 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router’s LED indicators display information about the device’s status. POWER Lights up when 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router is powered on. WLAN Lights up when WLAN is Active. Blinking when Sending/Receiving Data. Blinking when 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router is ready.

    2.1 Connection Mechanism: This section describes the hardware connection mechanism of your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router on your Local Area Network (LAN) connect to the Internet, how to configure your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router for Internet access or how to manually configure your Internet connection.
  • Page 6 A VoIP SIP account and configuration information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or a self registered VoIP account parameters (Refer to Chapter 9 on how to register and have your self registered VoIP account number). All the configuration/setting procedures describe in this Quick Start Guide are run through RJ-45 Ethernet connection.
  • Page 7 2.2 Steps for Connection: Following are the steps to properly connect your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router: 1. Turn off your computer. 2. Connect the ADSL port of your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router to the wall jack of the ADSL Line with a RJ-11 cable.

Check the following items when the above window pop-up: 1. For PPPoA & PPPoE Encapsulation Type: Check the “Encapsulation” type and “VPI” and “VCI” setting. The Encapsulation type, VPI/VCI setting should be the same as shown in Step 2.

When your ADSL or ADSL2/2+ connection is available, please refer to Chapter 9 to get your free VoIP SIP account first before setting up your VoIP functionality in Chapter 7.

    After setting up your ADSL connection (Refer to Chapter 5), the following window will pop-up when clicking “CONFIRM CHANGES” to confirm your ADSL or ADSL2/2+ setting. Click “OK” to configure your VoIP setting and the following window will pop-up. Follow the procedures or step describe below to setup your VoIP connection.

    When you’d successful registered and setup/configured your VoIP (SIP) account (Refer to Chapter 7), follow the procedures describe below to make your phone calls through the Internet.     If you have to register your own VoIP (SIP) account, then refer to the following procedures: You must have a valid ADSL connection before your can register a free VoIP (SIP) account from http://www.freeworlddialup.com. 1. Launch your web browser, and enter http://www.freeworlddialup.com in the address field then press Enter.
  • Page 30 2. After clicking “Sign up for a free FWD Account !”, the following window will pop-up. Fill in your “First Name”, “Last Name”, select “Your Country” from the drop down country list and enter your “E-Mail” address as requested. Click “Next >>” to continue after setup.
