The context provided does not explicitly mention the temperature and duration specifically for dehydrating sweet potatoes using Cabela’s 54-1647 dehydrator. However, based on standard dehydrating practices and the information in the manual, we can infer the following general guidelines:
Recommended Dehydrating Temperature for Sweet Potatoes: - 125°F to 135°F (52°C to 57°C) — This is a common temperature range for dehydrating vegetables, including root vegetables like sweet potatoes.
Recommended Dehydrating Time for Sweet Potatoes: - Approximately 6 to 12 hours, depending on the thickness of the slices and moisture content.
For best results: - Slice sweet potatoes uniformly, about 1/4 inch thick. - Use nonstick mesh screens (as recommended for watermelon) to prevent sticking. - Rotate trays periodically for even drying. - Check for doneness: slices should be dry, leathery, and slightly pliable, with no moist spots.
