9. Unbalancing system

The unbalancing system is a useful device to reduce attendant stress in overcoming small steps.
Straight rear frame unbalancing system:
In wheelchairs configured with straight rear frames, the unbalancing
pedal is integrated into the wheels for narrow passages support, so in
case of later assembly or replacement request it is necessary to
replace/assemble the complete support.
Under the same configurations, the unbalancing pedal is also used as a
support for the anti-tip device.
Curved rear frame unbalancing system:
In wheelchairs configured with curved rear frames, the unbalancing
pedal is an independent device connected to the frame using the same
holes available to fix the rear wheel plate.
It is not possible to select both the anti-tip device and the unbalancing
system on the same side in these frame models.

10. Extended wheel plate

The standard rear wheel support plates can be replaced by special
extended wheel plates that increase the stability of the wheelchair
and meet some special requirements.
The back position of the extended wheel plate moves the centre of
balance in a very safe position. This special setup makes the
wheelchair more stable but less agile and harder to push.

11. Stretched bar

The stretched bar is a device added to the back-rest to keep the back frame stable when the back-rest is very high, when the
wheelchair is very wide or when the configuration requires it for safety reasons or for choice of the user.
NOTE: OFF CARR reserves always the right to verify the technical compatibility of the stretched bar with other characteristics
of the wheelchair setup.
The stretched bar is always foldable to allow to fold the wheelchair for transport.

12. Table

If the wheelchairs are equipped with armrests (tables cannot be attached to "L" model armrests), it is also possible to select a
table on the order form
The tables hollow are available in different materials and sizes:
Plastic table (grey):
Soft padded table:
Transparent polycarbonate table: S size (small)-50 cm width
There are several models of connections between the table and the armrest, depending on the table, the armrest
model and the elbow rest. Therefore, in case of replacing, it is fundamental to specify the wheelchair serial number,
and the armrest, elbowrest and table models.
To equip a wheelchair with a table
• Loosen and remove the "A" screws that fixes the elbowrest to the armrest;
• Mount the table support paying attention to its direction (right or left) and fix it using 2 new screws 5mm longer than the
removed ones;
• Put the table supporting tubes in place and fix them to the preferred depth with the "B" wing screws;
• Fix the supports to the table with the "C" screws.
