DC + AC Performance measurement
Connect the measuring wires to the voltage
source parallelly.
Place the clamp over and around one of the
cables.
Choose the voltage type /AC or DC/ and verify
the value.
Choose the current type /AC or DC/ and verify
the value.
Choose the proper Watt range 40KW(0-250V,
0-400A) or 240KW (0-600V,0-400A).
Read the measured value from the LCD in kW /
AC or DC/
NOTE: Read all warning and caution information in the
manual before using the device. Set the function switch to
"OFF" if you do not are not using the device.
DC/AC Current measurement with the clamps
WARNING: Make sure that the wires are not connected to
the device when using the clamps. Select AC / DC with the
MODE button.
DC/AC voltage measurement
Connect the black measuring wire to the
negative COM connector and the red one to
the positive V connector.
Set the function switch to V position.
Select AC/DC with the MODE button.
Connect the wires to the circuit parallelly.
Read the measured value from the LCD.
Resistance and continuity measurement
Connect the black measuring wire to the
negative COM connector and the red one to
the positive connector.
Set the function switch to Ω position.
Use the multifunction MODE button to select
the type of measurement.
Connect the wires to the measured part.
In an ideal case no connectors of the part
are connected to the circuit so the rest of
the circuit does not have an effect on the
measured value.
Read the resolution value from the screen.
If the value of continuity is < 100Ω it is
signaled by a beep.
Diode measurement
Connect the black wire to the negative
COM connector and the red one to the V, Ω
connector.
Turn the rotating switch to position.
Hold down the MODE button until the
requested mode appears on the screen.
Touch the wires to the measured diode, an
opening voltage of 0,4-0,7V is displayed on
the device. If the wires are interchanged, "OL"
is displayed. Short circuited parts show 0 mV
as a result, broken diodes show "OL" in every
direction.
Frequency and duty cycle measurement
Set the function switch to Hz/% position.
Connect the black wire to the negative COM
connector and the red one to the positive V
connector.
Select Hz or duty cycle % with the Hz/%
button.
Touch the wires to the circuit.
Read the measured value from the screen.
Data hold and backlight
To hold the measured data press the HOLD
button. If data hold is active, the HOLD sign is
displayed on the screen. Press the HOLD button
again to return to normal mode.
Note: the HOLD function will turn on if you active the
backlight. You can turn the HOLD function off with
another press of the button. The backlight illuminates the
screen and helps in reading the values if the surrounding
area is too dark. Hold down the HOLD button for 1 second
to turn on the backlight and hold it down for 2 seconds to
turn it off.
Manual measuring range
The device turns on with automatic measuring
range enabled. Press the RANGE button to
switch to manual range mode. With every
press of the RANGE button the device cycles
through the available ranges, showing the units
of measurement and decimals. Hold down
the RANGE button for 2 seconds to return to
automatic mode. Manual range mode is not
available for AC/DC voltage, Watt, Diode and
Continuity measurements.
