ALTERNATOR V-BELT , CHECK I NG AND ADJUSTING
Checking
Press down on V- belt at arrows .
Check that belt depresses
5 - 10
mm .
(3/16 - 3/8 in . )
Adjusting
1 . Remove engine protection plate.

Adjusting Alternator V-belt
2 . Loosen nut and bolt (arrows) .
3. T ighten or loosen belt by moving alternator
with suitable lever .
