1. Pull
off rubber cap from plug connection
for
oxygen sensor and plug.

exhaust gas test
line
to test connection
of catalytic converter.
3. Run
engine
to operating temperature (oil
tempera·
ture approx.BO

C/

190° F). Use
special
tool P

4. Connect CO tester
according to manufacturer's
instructions.

Turn
idle speed screw on throttle housing until
specified rpm is reached (radiator fan not
running).
Note
Use
separate tachometer from tester
or
similar.
6. Remove
plug in mixture
control
unit,
between
fuel distributor and venturi.
