Installing the hardware

The figure below shows the hardware configuration of the application.

Configure the IPC and the SITOP PSU8600 as described in chapter
Set the ON/OFF switch of the IPC to "off" and connect the IPC477D on output 1
of the SITOP PSU8600.
Connect the mains plug with an external voltage supply.
Note:
The switch can also be connected to one of the outputs of the SITOP PSU8600.
However, first of all the hardware configuration has to be loaded.
Connect the SITOP PSU8600, the network switch, the IPC447D, as well as the
development computer via Profinet.
Note: Connection without network
Connect the Ethernet cable with the "X2" network connection of your IPC. Con-
nect the other end with the network connection of your development computer.
Connect the Ethernet cable with the "X1" network connection of the
SITOP PSU8600. Connect the other end with the "X1" network connection of the
IPC.
Set the ON/OFF switch to position "on".
Switch on the input voltage of the SITOP PSU8600.
Start the development computer.
