The logs are made of a ceramic material that is FRAGILE. Carefully handle each log with both hands.

Overview

This log set is for use with an Xtreme 6020 that has been pre-configured for use with the driftwood log set. The
four (4) threaded stud plates are pre-installed to suit these instructions.

Log Installation

NOTE: The logs should be installed after the fireplace has been installed and tested for proper operation.
NOTE: The log set affects airflow inside the fireplace. Adjust the air shutters to fully open position prior to
placing the glass. After operating the fireplace to insure proper flame performance, the air shutters may
be closed slightly if needed.
1. Make sure the stud plates for the driftwood logs are installed. Install the crushed glass media over the
perforated steel (see photo below). Make sure the crushed glass covers the stud plates but does not
cover the pilot (see manual for complete details).

  • Page 3 5. The front right log has a hole on the base that fits over the last pin on the firebox floor. Position the log as shown below with the front of the log resting on the ledge near the glass frame with approximately 2” gap to the glass opening.   • Page 5 Remove the glass and carefully inspect the areas above the burner for soot accumulation. If any soot is detected, re-adjust the log and repeat this step to insure no sooting occurs. Page 5 of 5 17601613 - Printed 5/13/10 © Travis Industries, Inc.
