S2 (C1)
: RESET switch
Used to re-start the system forcibly by means of
hardware.
The setting values of FARAD systm can be undefined
values when the RESET switch is press while the
FARAD system is operating. Do not press the RESET
switch especially while the hard disk is being accessed.
S3 (E3)
: SW1 switch
Sets operation of CPU-1 (A/V).
The switches from S3-1 through S3-8 are all set to OFF
during normal operation and have been set to OFF when
shipped from the factory. Application software may not
operate when these switches are not set to all OFF.

flash memory. However, set the switches S3-2 and
S3-3 to OFF during normal operation and have been
set to OFF when shipped from the factory.

the RS-232C connectors (CN4, CN300) on the front

3-1. Description of On-Board Switch Settings and LEDs
To execute the CPU-253 board diagnostics function, set
the switches S3 and S301 as follows. Be careful that the
communication speed for the CPU-253 board diagnostics
function is fixed to 9600 bps regardless of the baud rate
setting of switches S3-6 and S301-6.

: SW2 switch

Used for factory adjustment. These switches are all set to
OFF during normal operation and have been set to OFF
when shipped from the factory.
