• Check that the brushes are raised off the fl oor (levers 1,2 and "3 optional).
• Release the brake pedal 4.
• Make sure gear selector 8 is in the neutral position "0" (electric version).
• Insert the key 5 in the key switch and turn it clockwise.
For the petrol version, see "starting the engine".
• Switch on the suction fan by the button 6 and main brush, side brushes, pushing the button 7 (electric version).
• Lower the side brushes by means of levers 1,3 and main brush by knob 2.
• With the "petrol version", push button 10 for side brush rotation.
• Select the transfer direction of the machine by the switch 8 (electric version).
• Press gradually on pedal 9.
