Answering system
Answering system operation
The answerng system can record up to 99 messages or a total of 15 mnutes.
The answerng system only answers calls on the HOME lne.
When there are new messages (ncludng memos) on the answerng system,
the MESSAGE lght on the telephone base will flash, and the telephone base
dsplay wll ndcate the number of new messages. On a handset, the message
con
and the clock will flash alternately, and the display will indicate the
number of new messages.
Message announcements
Before playng each message, the answerng system announces the day
and tme that the message was receved. The system wll announce " Date
and time not set" f the clock s not set. To manually set the tme and day,
see page 42.
If you have new messages, the system wll announce the number of new
messages and play the earliest message first. If you only have old messages,
the system wll announce the number of old messages and play the earlest
message first. If you have both new and old messages, the system will only
announce and play the number of new messages. When the messages have
finished playing, the screen will return to Messages or dle mode, dependng
on how the playback was ntated.
