FAULT FINDING

PROBLEM
Uneven cut.
Discharge chute blocks.
Mower is hard to push.
Mower will not self propel.
(Auto Drive models only).
Poor grass collection.
FAULT FINDING
Continued.
POSSIBLE FAULT
Undulating ground contours.
Cutterbar worn.
Cutterbar out of balance.
Wheels / roller damaged.
Grass is wet.
Cut height too low.
Grassbag full.
Slow engine speed.
Airflow through the grassbag
is restricted.
Cut height too low.
Wheels / roller damaged.
Clutch out of adjustment.
Drive belt damaged.
Airflow through the grassbag
is restricted.
Discharge chute blocked.
Slow engine speed.
Wet grass.
Grassbag full.
REMEDY
Change direction of travel.
Sharpen the cutterbar.
Balance cutterbar.
Inspect and replace as necessary.
Mow dry grass.
Increase cut height.
Empty grassbag.
Increase engine speed.
Clean the grassbag.
Increase cut height.
Inspect and lubricate or replace
as necessary.
Adjust clutch lever.
Replace drive belt.
Clean the grassbag.
Remove blockage.
Increase engine speed.
Mow dry grass.
Empty grassbag.
