Basic Adjustment
The machine has already been factory-set. However, after transport or for
inaccurate cutting angles, readjusting can be required.
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the plug from the
socket!
Checking and Adjusting the Blade to the Fence
– Pull the mitre lever 4 and the positive stop lever 5 upward. Turn the ro-
tating table 7 until the positive stop lever engages at 0°.
– Move the saw head downward and lock it in this position with the trans-
port safety 18.
– Place a square 38 against the lower part 37 of the fence and blade 36
(see Fig. G). Do not touch the tips of the blade teeth with the square.
If the saw blade is not exactly at 90° to the fence:
– Loosen the four screws 39 and move the scale 6/mitre arm assembly 7
left or right until the blade is at 90° to the fence as measured with the
square (see Fig. H).
– Push the mitre lever 4 downward.
– Tighten the four screws 39.
– The pointer 41 must now indicate "0°". If the indication is incorrect,
loosen the screw 40 and set the pointer to "0°".
Tighten screw 40 again.
Adjusting the Blocking Rod of the Positive Stop Lever
– If the rotating table can still be moved despite the mitre lever 4 being
pulled tight, then the positive stop lever 5 must be readjusted (see Fig. I):
– Pull the mitre lever 4 upward.
– Tighten the screw 42 of the blocking rod.
– Loosen screw 42 again by approx. 1/4 of a turn. This sets the required
clearance between positive stop lever and turning table.
Checking and Adjusting the Blade to the Table
– Loosen the bevel clamp lever 12 and set the bevel angle to 0° on the
bevel indicator 43 (see Fig. K). Tighten the bevel clamp lever 12 again.
– Push the saw head back as far as possible and tighten the wing bolt 21.
– Place a set square 38 on the table and up against the blade 36
(see Fig. J). Do not touch the tips of the blade teeth with the square.
If the angle between saw blade and saw table is not exactly 90°:
– Loosen the bevel clamp lever 12.
– Press the saw head toward the right and turn the screw 46 until the saw
blade is in a precise right angle to the saw table (see Fig. K).
– The pointer 43 must now indicate "0°". If the indication is incorrect,
loosen the screw 44 and set the pointer to "0°".
Tighten screw 44 again.
Checking/Adjusting the Bevel Angle Stops
– Before adjusting the bevel angle stops, the angle between saw blade
and saw table must have been checked/adjusted first (see previous sec-
tion).
– Both bevel angle stops are adjustable between 45° and 48°. The 45°
adjustment is described as an example for the adjusting procedure.
Bevel angle stop at 45°, left (see Fig. K):
– Loosen the bevel clamp leve 12 and pivot the saw head to the left
– The pointer 43 must now indicate "45°". If the indication is incorrect,
loosen the screw 13 and set the pointer to "45°".
Bevel angle stop at 45°, right (see Fig. K/L/M):
– Loosen the bevel clamp lever 12. Press the release lever 14 in order to
loosen the saw-head lock. Pivot the saw head to the right.
– The pointer 43 must now indicate "45°". If the indication is incorrect,
loosen the screw 47 and set the pointer to "45°".

Initial Operation
Observe correct mains voltage: The voltage of the power source must
agree with the voltage specified on the nameplate of the machine.
If an extension cable is required, use an approved extension cable suit-
able for the power input of this machine. The minimum conductor size is
2
1.5 mm
. When using a cable reel, always unwind the cable completely.
Dust/Chip Extraction
The dust that is produced while working can be detrimental to
health, inflammable or explosive. Suitable safety measures are
required. Some dusts are regarded as carcinogenic. Use suitable
dust/chip extraction and wear a dust respirator.
The machine can be plugged directly to the socket of a Würth industrial
vac with automatic operation. The vac will be started automatically when
switching the machine on.
Adjusting the Stop Rails
Loosen both wing bolts 24 and pull out both stop rails 3 and 8 to the de-
sired length. Lock both stop rails in the desired position by means of the
wing bolts 24 (see Fig. N).
Adjust the stop rails in such a manner that a sufficiently large clearance
is given between saw blade and stop rail edge.
Check the clearance by guiding the saw head of the switched off machine
downward toward the stop.
When adjusting bevel angles with maximum 48°, the stop rails must be
pulled out all the way. For right-sided bevel angles, it can be required to
remove the right stop rail 3 completely.
Securing the Workpiece
Ensure that the workpiece always faces against the saw table and the
fence.
Use suitable clamping fixtures if the workpiece is bent or warped.
When sawing long workpieces, use suitable table extensions and supports.
Adjusting the Mitre Angle
The rotating table 7 is equipped with a dual-range scale 6:
– Front scale: Indicates the mitre angle.
– Rear scale: Indicates the supplementing mitre angle to 90°.
Pull the mitre lever 4 and the positive stop lever 5 upward. Turn the saw
table in the corresponding direction and set the desired measure on the
scale 6 with the pointer 41 (see Fig. O). The positive stop lever locks auto-
matically at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6°, 45° and 50° (left) as well as 60° (right).
For the adjustment of precise mitre angles, the pointer 41 is additionally
fitted with a vernier scale 48. It allows for intermediate values to be set with
a precision of ±1/4°.
As an example, the adjustment of a 24 1/4° (right) mitre angle is shown
(see Fig. O):
Set the pointer 41 to "24" (see arrow).
Turn the saw table further toward the right until the "0.25" mark (to the
right of the centre line) on the vernier scale 48 matches with the next grad-
uation mark on the scale 6 (see arrow).
Push the mitre lever 4 downward.
When adjusting left mitre angles, use the vernier scale to the left of the cen-
tre line.
Adjusting the Bevel Angle
In order to achieve optimum handling, the bevel angle of the saw head is
usually set to "left". Under unfavourable conditions, (e. g. for long work-
pieces) it can be required to adjust the bevel angle to "right". For this, how-
ever, the saw-head lock must be disengaged.
Bevel angle left:
Release the bevel clamp lever 12 and pivot the saw head toward the left.
If required, adjust the left mitre angle stop 13.
Bevel angle right:
Release the bevel clamp lever 12. Press the release lever 14 in order to
loosen the saw-head lock. Pivot the saw head toward the right. If required,
adjust the right mitre angle stop 47.
Adjust the required bevel angle on the bevel scale 45 (see Fig. K).
Tighten the bevel clamp handle 12 again.
