Exchanging discs
Youcan change auy oftile discs not in the play position
using the EXCHANGE button. Becausethe disc in the
play position is unaffected,you can use this button to
chalge discs even during playback.
Press EXCHANGE to open the disc tray
without interrupting playback.
Load a disc.
Youcan IoM two discs at a tinm in the twofully
accessiblediscspaces. Do not tL'y aad load discs into aW
of the other spaces;the},may not load correctlyand
cause the unit to malfunction.
If you want to load more discs, press
DISC SKIP to rotate the disc tray.
Press _ OPEN/CLOSE or EXCHANGE to
close the disc tray.
• Do not push the disc tray shut by haud _ter
exchalging discs.
Listening to the radio
The Mlowing stepsshow you how to tune in to FMaud
AMradio bmadcasts using the automatic (search) aid
manual (step) tuning functions. Once you are tuned to
a staion you cm_memorize the frequencyfor recall
later--see 5'avi*_g s tation pr,aeta"on page 22 for mote
on how to do this.

Press TUNER/BAND to select the tuner.
On the remote,press repeatedlyto switchbetweenFM
aud AMba_ds. On the front paml, the
TUNER/BAND
button switchesbetweenFM,AMaud presetstation
mode. For now,choose either FMor AM.
Tune to a station.
Thereare three waysto do this:
• Automatic tuning
'Ibsearch for stations in the currently selectedbaud,
pressand hold either the _ or _ button for about
a second.The systemwill start searching fur the next
station, stopping when it has found one. Repeat this step
to search for other stations. Eve U time searching stops
on a station, the 3"_(tuned) indicator lights in the
display.
