• Tu delele lhe playlist, stop playback, then press
CLEAR.

program play ofsome DVD discs starts. The aslerisk
means lhat lhe part of lhe discbeing played is not in the
playlist,but has 1obe played wheneverthe disc is first
loaded in to the playposition. The asmriskwill
disappear once the pmgrmnmed chapters start playing.
More programming options
There are several ulher options availablewhen making/
using program lists.
To view the playlist, press PROGRAM
(SHIFT & 7).
To delete an entry from the playlist,
position the cursor on the title/chapter/
track number and press CLEAR.
To add an entry to the end of the playlist,
press PROGRAM (SHIFT & 7), enter the
title/chapter/track number, then press
program again.
To delete the playlist, exit the program
list screen, stop playback, then press
CLEAR.
Using random play
Usetile randonl playfunction to play titles/chapters/
tracks ill a raldom urdec
Howrandom playworks dependson lhe disccurrently
in the play position. If lhe 'current' disc is a DVD, y ou
cau play either the litles or chapters on that disc at
random. If the 'current' disc is an audio or VideoCD,
you can playeither the tracks on that disc,or all the
tracks on all lhe CDsand VideoCDsloaded at random
(D¥I)discs loaded will be ignored).

Press RANDOM (SHIFT & 8) repeatedly
to select a random play mode.
The mode is displ_,ed un-screen and ill tile frunt panel
display:
•
Random Chapter (from within the current
title)
• Random Title
• Random 1 Disc
• Random All Discs
Press ENTER or _-/ll to start random play.
• lb stop the disc and cancel random playback,
pressI.
• 'lb catmel ralldom playbackwithout slopping
pl_,back, pressCLEAR. The rest ofthe disc plays out.
Tip
During random play,the 1_4 and _1_1 buttons
function a littledifferentlyto nonnal: 1_4 returns to
the beginning ofthe current track!chapter:You can't go
back further lhm_this. I_1_1selects m_othertrack/
chapler at rm_domfl'omthose remaining.
Using repeat play
Youcau set tile playerto repeat indMdual tracks on CDs
or Video-CDs, chaplers or titles on DVD discs, a whole
disc, or all the discs loaded in the playee It's also
possibleto loop a sectionof a disc.
Youcau use the repeat logetherwith lhe programming
mode to repeat the tracks/chapters in lhe playlist (see
page 27 for howto progr_l a playlist).
Press REPEAT (SHIFT & 9) during play-
back to select a repeat mode.
Each pressswitchesthe repeat mode:
• Chapter Repeat
• Title Repeat
•
Repeat Off
