Invacare® Dacapo®
One side is made from environmentally friendly organic
foam. The high density of the foam allows for a good
pressure distribution. The upper surface has been cut into
squares, all being individually flexible.
The other side is composed of visco-elastic foam which
adapts to the user´s body dynamics and temperature.
Dacapo Heavy User / Heavy User Light
The mattress is constructed of three layers to offer the user
firm responsive support, pressure relief and cushioning. The
lower part of the mattress is constructed from a hard high
resilience foam with a high density. The middle layer is a
softer version of the high resilience foam and the upper
layer of the mattress is visco-elastic foam.
Dacapo Premier
The mattress features a unique contoured insert pad which
provides patient comfort and optimises pressure reduction.
The insert is supported by a foam u-core that facilitates
patient transfer by providing effective side-wall support.
Dacapo Kid
The mattress is constructed from a single layer of high
resilience foam. The unique square-patterned body contour
cut into the mattress, minimises surface pressure, which
allows pressure redistribution.
Dacapo Top
This is an overlay designed to be placed on top of basic
mattresses. The overlay is composed of visco-elastic foam
which adapts to the user´s body dynamics and temperature.

Dacapo Top Pro
This is an overlay designed to be placed on top of basic
mattresses. The overlay is composed of a castellated high
resilience foam which provides a firm supportive base.

3.6 Mattress covers

The Dacapo range has three cover options available:
Wipedown cover
The wipedown cover is composed of polyutherane coated
polyester. The cover is two-way stretch and gentle on the
skin. The fabric is vapour-permeable and water-resistant.
This cover is allergy-tested and treated against dust mites.
Evacuation cover
The evacuation is composed of two-way stretch,
vapour-permeable, water-resistant, polyurethane coated
polyester. These covers are equipped with handles on all
four sides. On the two long sides there are straps, which in
case of an emergency evacuation can be wrapped around
the user.
This cover is allergy-tested and treated against dust mites.
Cotton cover
The cotton cover is composed of standard cotton, washable
at 40 °C.
