3-3-3 System Setup

When you power on the Digital Media Workstation for
the first time, you should set up Windows by following
the procedures described on page 6 and after of the
Windows 2000 Professional Quick Start guide.
The Windows product key is attached to the top panel
of the XPRI Main Unit.
Note on reinstalling the Windows 2000 operating
system
Several Windows 2000 settings need to be changed
before you can use the application software.

3-3-4 Main Unit Power Off

Proceed as follows to power the Main Unit off.
If you have connected the power cord to a UPS
(uninterruptible power supply) or other power regulator,
refer to the manual supplied with the UPS or to the
documentation of the application controlling the UPS for
information about powering off.

In the Windows Start menu, select Shut Down...
and then select Shut down to shut down the
system.

Power peripherals off.
Note
When you shut Windows 2000 down, do not select
[Standby] in the drop-down list which appears in the
Shut Down Windows dialog.
