1 Selecting the options
From the Support Element Workplace panel.
1. Open Console Actions from the Views
area
2. Open Support Element Settings from the
Console Actions Work Area
3. If establishing communication with an

Hardware Management Console place a
|
check in the box next to Enable LAN
|
Connection
4. Enter the MPTS adapter number record in
MPTS Configuration 5-3 to communicate
with the Hardware Management Console.
If establishing a second communication
with an Hardware Management Console
5. Enter the second MPTS adapter number
record earlier that will communicate with
the Hardware Management Console.
6. Select Apply
7. If not establishing commutation with an
Hardware Management Console go to
"Customize Console Date/Time (Support
Element)" on page 5-8

Installing the System
If the system is NOT pre-configured and you have a pre-configuration
diskette, go to "Restore Diskette Not Loaded" on page 6-61 before
continuing.
Note: When Enabling LAN Connection a
re-boot is required but must be manually performed
if not changing the name or IP address. Go to
step 3 if not changing the name or IP address .
