Configure I/O and Support Processor to Hardware Management
Console communications.

1 MPTS Configuration.
1. Open Console Actions from the Views
area
2. Open MPTS Configuration from the
Console Actions Work Area
3. Select Configure from the Multi-Protocol
Transport Service panel.
4. Select LAN adapters and protocols only,
from the Configure panel.
5. Select Configure.

2 EtherNet Adapter Configuration.

Go to step 3 if not making a EtherNet
|
|
connection.

The first EtherNet adapter plugged is
|
located on the I/O and Support Processor
|
card in slots LG17 and LG18
|
1. Select Intel PRO Adapter from the
|
Network Adapter list.
|
2. Select Add button under the Network
|
Adapter list.
|
3. Select the adapter you are configuring from
|
the Current Configuration field.
|
4. Select Edit
|
5. Place the cursor in the Slot/Device
|
Identifier input field
|
6. Enter the following in the input field.
|
LG17/18 000B
When configuring multiple EtherNet
adapters perform the step at the right.
before continuing.
Go to step 4
In the following steps you will configure a maximum of two adapters to
communicate with Hardware Management Console's using Adapter's 0 and 1.
If you are making a second EtherNet
connection to a Hardware Management
Console.
1. Select IBM 100/10 Ethernet PCI Adapter
from the Network Adapter list.
2. Select Add button under the Network
Adapter list.
3. Select the adapter you are configuring from
the Current Configuration field.
4. Select Edit
5. Place the cursor in the Slot/Device
Identifier input field
6. Enter the following depending on the
adapter location.

LG11 0066
LG10 0065
LG09 0064
